I smoke a lot - K's choice
I smoke a lot
I'm not talking weed or pot
I smoke the regular stuff
I smoke a lot
And if you're a smoker too
You are to know sometimes it's tough
To be in healthy company
People who always say
You smoke a lot
Imagine the amount of money you could save if you'd quit
You smoke a lot
By now you'd have a bike, aren't you concerned about the kids
Well, of course, sure I am, concerned (a bit)
But about that bike, I could get killed with it
And is that what you really want
(It's not)

So I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
My God I smoke a lot, and I feel fine
And I feel fine
I smoke a lot

I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
Sometimes it's great
Sometimes it's not
But I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot

I saw her today at a reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
And if you try sometimes you find
You get what you need

I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you might find
You get what you need

Oh yeah, hey hey hey, oh....

And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"
Sing it to me now...

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need
Oh baby, yeah, yeah!

I went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was "dead"
I said to him

You can't always get what you want, no!
You can't always get what you want (tell ya baby)
You can't always get what you want (no)
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need
Oh yes! Woo!

You get what you need--yeah, oh baby!
Oh yeah!

I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need

You can't always get what you want (no, no baby)
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need, ah yes...

you go to sit down at this table
yeah and where everything looks fine
till you go to put your arms down and realize
that one of them is just a little too shy
so you're bending over now with your folded up matchbook
gonna try to steady yourself
waitress comes and puts your coffee down
you just spill it all over yourself
if this is as hard as it gets
you've got a fighting chance

so you think to yourself if I start my day over
yeah starting right now
then you grab your to go cup you got for free
you feel a familiar hand on your shoulder
turn around, it's your ex
smiling like she never left you
for your best friend three years before
you think what now
all of your weight on the door
if this is as hard as it gets
you've got a fighting chance

so you push off, yeah towards your apartment
on the corner above that liquor store
28 days away from the drink
life is testing you more than you've been tested before
you are the bravest, newest person I've met
all of the answers are in you
even if you haven't had the questions yet
you are the bravest, newest person I've met
and if this is as hard as it gets today
yeah you've got a fighting chance

cause I know it's hard
your skin against this city
with all of your old friends at the bar
so if it's any consolation to you
I think fragile suits you

Enough - K's Choice
I wouldn't call it time well spent
Repeating to myself I can't
Find comfort in an endless stream of moments
I don't really care, about the way I feel today
Because it changes anyway
Something will make me cry or smile
Another picture on the pile

Now I'm standing close to you
It's just something that I do
When I need love to be enough
I wish the love could be enough
There is nothing more appealing
Than the thought that I could be enough

Do you find sorrows in the sun
Do you consider life as run
Do you believe there is a limit
To how fast a man can run
Someone stands upon a line
But I don't feel that alive
I don't feel that alive

Now I'm standing close to you
It's just something that I do
When I need love to be enough
I wish the love could be enough
'Cause there is nothing more appealing
Than the thought that I could be enough... enough

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn't say it, well I'd still have felt it
where's the sense in that?

I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I know I left too much mess and
destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over"
then I'm sure that that makes sense

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still
I'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on....

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

Where do you go, with your broken heart in tow?
What do you do with the left over you?
How do you know, when to let go?
Where does the good go? Where does the good go?

Look me in the eye and tell me you don't find me attractive
Look me in the heart and tell me you won't go
Look me in the eye and promise no love's like our love
Look me in the heart and unbreak broken
It won't happen

It's love that leaves and breaks
The seal of always thinking you would be
Real happy, and healthy, strong and calm
Where does the good go? Where does the good go?

Where do you go when you're in love, and the world knows?
How do you live so happily while I am sad and broken down?
When do you say it's up for grabs and that you're on your way down?
Where does the good go? Where does the good go?

Jeudi 29 juin 2006

Ya thought this was it
True love had arrived
So I fell in
What a big surprise
So I bought you a ring
'N I asked you to wear it
So when I found it
On the bathroom sink
I should have known
I was in for it

How do I release this
How do I let you go
How do I mend my heart
When I feel so low
'N how do I talk to you
Without crying
How do I let you go
When I still love you
I still love you
Ya I still love you

So I don't know if I can
Be just your friend
Damn you for trying
'N fuck you for stand there smiling

But I know what it's like
To not be able to feel
'N I know what it's like
Ya to just
Kiss someone you make em' fall in
Love with you
'N then you walk away
Ya to just
Make somebody com ea little
Closer so you can
Push them away

How do I release this
How do I let you go
How do I mend my heart
When I feel so low
'N how do I talk to you
Without crying
How do I let you go
When I still love you

More for me - Tegan and Sara

had a bad day as bad as they come
time to get a real job you gotta stop having fun
so I, so I got a real job I'm working nine to nine
I'm making five bucks an hour 'til the day I die
got a straw inside of me and it's filled just fine
got a straw inside of me with the strongest wine
I'm one third passion I'm two thirds pride
said I used to have a life once
he said I used to like your smile once
singing silence to the world
but the stars kept marching
he said silence to everyone I said I'm still talking
have you got some more deep inside of you, deep inside of you, deep inside of you
I'll always have more for me yeah, yeah
I take a little more for me baby
I got a picture of the way the world has summed me up
If I could have one wish I sure wish that
I had never grown up
I got a picture of the way I looked when I was three
I came out laughing, screaming, dancing
I came out laughing, screaming, dancing
I used to be free spirited
now I'm just free of sleep
I got a burning passion in my throat
I got a burning passion inside me
I got a job that wastes my time and gift
I got a life that needs a serious lift
and all the things I wanted
yes all the things I want
all the things I wanted
all the things I wanted
all the things I want
go on and on and on and on
yes we go on and on and on and on
well I go on
silence to the world but the stars keep marching
silence to everyone but I kept talking
have you got some more deep inside of you
yes I'll always have more more me
he says all the things I want they go
so I, I take a little more
